china sucks

could this be a new SARS outbreak? maybe, yes. maybe, no. when a sudden gush of patients, with similar symptoms (nausea, then renal failure and paralysis), were rushed in a panamanian hospital, this alarmed a group of medical specialists to lead a study on their constant variables. definitely, the solution leads either to a new unidentified epidemic disease or mass poisoning. all the patients phlebotomy tests were checked for any presence of metallic substances in their blood, a sign of mass poisoning. but all results showed negative. it was also clear that no virus or whatever had caused the sudden manifestations. the only way to find out was to study the patients common variables and monitor these indicative data for any significance.

all cases were related to coronary problems and were prescribed with lisinopril, a drug that alleviates hypertension and congestive heart failure. approx 70% of the patients indicated they had been using the mentioned remedy. after cautionary findings, the drug appeared to be harmless.

so what was the cause of this new disease? this still puzzled the team, until one member's brevity and eagle eye's view of the patients charts gave hint to the mystery. lisinopril had an adverse effect on the respiratory tract, thus, these patients were given a cough syrup to reduce the side effects. this may sound simple and insignificant, but because of extensive research of this cough syrup, it was unveiled that 8% of the said cough syrup was made of deg (diethylene glycol)--the mastermind behind the renal failure, sudden paralysis and liver atrophy.

the pharmaceutical source of the said cough syrup revealed to be in china. 182 were poisoned, and out of those, 121 died. to date no-one has been prosecuted in china for making or selling the tainted pharmaceutical ingredients.

i diversed the original article from a readers digest feb 2009 copy into the mini easier-reading post above. lol. why have i caused myself to waste much of my time into this diversion? well, easy, china.

i loathe china. for me (no offense intended), china is definitel
y a country of power and modern diversity but it sure lacks the ethics and moral camisado of bringing in a morally drived innovation to the world base. first, there was a news report before that chinese goodies were contaminated with formalin. i was, of course, not bothered by the commotion. i was in high school back then, and, like duh, the people there in school are obviously chinese. and fyi to those who dont know what formalin is, its a substance you inject in cats and other animals for embalming practices.
mid-2008, there was another report about melamine-contiminated hong kong eggs and milk products. its still obvious that china kindled the process. and now this. after producing a mass genocide, china gets away with a clearance of legal afflictions. i may sound bias here that im referring to china as a whole. indeed, it was maybe one company in china who made that ordeal of exporting the cough syrup to other ends of the world, but take note, it is still the chinese governments responsibility to clear out any errors before exporting their products. on the other hand, theres a chance of illegal exporting. its a slim chance, though. after three controversial exports, im not afraid to say that china is being too frugal by placing illegal substances to camaflouge the missing ingredients of their products.

screw china.
