"Overall, I didn't appreciate the film. It was generally tacky, the plot very unripe, slow and morbidly shallow with no conviction, and there was an evident lack of chemistry between the two lead actors. The only positive concept within the film was strictly limited to Angelina Jolie's hair, make-up and wardrobe. But her flaccid English accent seemed to convey that Angelina Jolie's role was no more but an exotic British femme walking around Venice as if she were in a perfume commercial."

"the plot was really excellent, except for the fact that the film was a bit bland (I don't know if that is the appropriate term to use) that had me confused at one point because there were scenes in the film that made the whole movie look like it was a thriller. so, that was a big let down, for me. because I was expecting less of the sci-fi thing going on and more of the Jack-and-Rose kind of romance, although Rose (Kate Winslet) was in fact casted in the film as the female lead Clementine, who was the utter exact opposite of Rose DeWitt Bukater of Titanic in terms of social grace and seduction."

"So the film, in general, utilized extremely overused formulas in making romantic-comedy films. But then again, on the other hand, there were also some goods (like including an orphan toddler in the plot and how the two lead roles will be able to resolve their feud and parenting issues despite the fact that they’re not in a relationship and the baby isn’t theirs biologically in the first place). Sad thing is instead of concentrating on the better elements of the film, the producers decided to highlight Holly’s obsessive compulsive behaviors and Messer’s need for random one night stands."
